Nicholas Bass

Ex-YMCA Retirement Fund Investment Director, Arootah Due Diligence Advisor

Nick Bass has a 15-year track record of success in identifying, evaluating, and managing investment opportunities across various asset classes. Nick has experience investing for a range of firms; family offices, banks, and institutions, and knowledge of what investments resonate with each firm. He most recently was an Investment Director at the YMCA Retirement Fund, where he oversaw Diversified Strategies. Prior to that he was a Vice President at JP Morgan covering hedge funds and private credit. Before that he was at Mousse Partners covering direct and third party investments across fixed income, equities, commodities and hedge funds. He started his career at Alternative Investment Group covering Long/Short equity hedge funds. Nick’s expertise lies in sourcing, diligencing, and monitoring investments in equity funds, fixed income, hedge funds, private credit, and other alternative strategies.

Peter Bremberg

Founder and Chief Investment Officer of The Quarry

In his role as CIO, Peter is responsible for portfolio construction and capital allocations to The Quarry’s portfolio managers. Peter was previously the Chief Operating Officer of Boothbay Fund Management LLC, a global multi-manager hedge fund with over $5 billion of capital allocations to 100+ portfolio managers.

Prior to Boothbay, he was a Director in the Global Prime Solutions & Financing division of BNP Paribas from 2010-2016. Before BNP, Peter was the 8th employee and Treasury Manager at Northern Arc Capital in India, a structured credit and specialty finance company that has enabled financing for over 50 million underserved households and businesses in India. Peter began his career at Bear, Stearns & Co. in the Equities Division.

Peter has an M.B.A. in Finance from the Stern School of Business at New York University, and a B.A. in Philosophy from Franciscan University of Steubenville

Eric Hoerdemann

CFA, is VP, Strategy and Business Development for CENTRL

Eric leads strategy and business development at CENTRL. With over 25 years as an allocator investor, Eric has led teams investing billions of dollars into asset managers at allocator pioneers SEI and the Goldman Sachs external manager group. He later seeded alternative strategies at Stride Capital and was a partner at Convergency Partners, where he remains an advisor. Eric has also been at the forefront of investment technology, building advanced due diligence platforms and founding an online marketplace.

Eric M. Klein

CFA

Eric Klein is a Managing Director within J.P. Morgan’s Wealth Management Solutions team (part of Asset & Wealth Management), based in New York City.

Eric is the Global Head of Operational Due Diligence and leads a team that is responsible for analyzing the operational processes and infrastructure across traditional investment managers, alternative investment managers, and insurance carriers. He joined J.P. Morgan in 2010.

Prior to J.P. Morgan, Eric was a Vice President at Robeco-Sage Capital Management. While at Robeco-Sage, Eric was a research analyst focused on manager selection and due diligence across a range of hedge fund strategies.

Prior to Robeco, Eric spent his business school internship as a research analyst at a hedge fund focused on fixed income and municipal bond arbitrage. He began his career as a proprietary equities trader.

Eric holds an MBA in Finance from the S.C. Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University as well as a B.S. in Applied Economics from Cornell University. He is a CFA charter-holder.

He resides in Old Greenwich, CT with his wife (Amy) and 4 children.
